I am about to launch something that I’m very excited about and may be the exact thing you’ve been looking for. First, a little backstory…

A funny thing happened at the Builder to CEO Summit in Tampa.

Last fall, Jerry Aliberti and I hosted a webinar called "From Builder to CEO."

The response was strong enough that we decided to take the conversation live and host a two-day event in Tampa this past May.

We expected the biggest takeaways to be around leadership, operations, cash flow, hiring, and growth.

Those topics were certainly important.

But when we asked attendees what they found most valuable, we kept hearing the same thing over and over again.

It wasn't the presentations.

It wasn't the frameworks.

It wasn't the spreadsheets.

It was the conversations.

Contractors were sitting across the table from other contractors who were dealing with many of the same challenges.

Managing growth.

Finding good people.

Protecting profit.

Building leadership teams.

Getting out of the weeds.

Balancing family, business, and the pressure that comes with carrying the weight of the company.

Here’s something I’ve heard more times than I can count:

"The higher I've climbed, the fewer people I can talk to honestly."

I think that's true.

When your company is small, you're in the trenches with everyone else.

As you grow, things change.

Your employees can't always relate to the decisions you're making.

Your spouse gets tired of hearing about business.

Your friends may not understand the challenges of running a growing company.

And sometimes even your closest peers are competitors.

Success can be surprisingly lonely.

That's why Jerry and I have spent the last several weeks talking about how to create a room where serious contractors can have real conversations about the issues that matter most.

Not a training program.

Not a consulting engagement.

Not another Facebook group.

A room filled with contractors who are committed to becoming better leaders, building better businesses, and making the transition from Builder to CEO.

We're calling it the Builder to CEO Peer Group.
