Good morning,
Your CFO just slid another spreadsheet across the table. 26 columns. 47 rows. Enough data to make your eyes glaze over faster than a donut at Dunkin'.
Meanwhile, you're thinking: "Just tell me if I'm making money."
After 30 years in banking and reviewing 10,000+ financials, I've discovered something that'll ruffle some feathers:
Most accountants are not helping you make more money.
Not because they're bad people. But because they're trained to for taxes and compliance, not how to improve cash flow.
You don't need 26 columns. You need 7 numbers.
That's it. Seven.
The same 7 numbers that separate contractors from making $250K on $5M versus those that can make $1M with the same revenue.
One client told me this week what he really wanted. We got past the surface stuff (more profit, bank loans, clients paying faster). His real answer?
